With the opening of a new full-service branch library in West Boise, three West Boise stops have been  eliminated, as well as a low-use stop in Northwest Boise. Remaining stops continue on the same schedule.

The new Library! at Cole and Ustick offers West Boise customers substantially more open hours, easier access to books, movies and music, and many additional services, including programs and classes, computers with Internet access and spaces for meeting, reading and relaxing.

Can't get to the library?  Try the Bookmobile!

The Bookmobile is a mobile library-in-a-bus making regular stops throughout Boise.  Besides checking out and returning library materials, you can designate the Bookmobile as your pickup point when you place holds through the online catalog.  

You can also apply for a library card at the Bookmobile and use it that day.  However, you won't be able to use it at other library locations for a couple of business days, due to processing time.  Please bring photo identification and proof of your current address when applying for a card.  More 

Please note that our Bookmobile bus is not a youngster, and is sometimes prone to mechanical difficulties, especially in the heat.  But, never fear, neither rain, nor hail nor annoying little problems.....when it's in the shop, we use our lovely white vans or white pickup trucks as substitutes.  Just look for Boise Public Library on the side!
