Classes at the Main Library

The Main Library offers free classes for adults September through May.  They include the following topics:

Computer Basics is a single 90 minute, hands-on class designed for people new to computers. It is offered the first Tuesday morning and the third Tuesday evening each month September through May. The class focuses on the mouse, basic computer functions and getting around in the Windows environment. 
 

Internet Basics is a single 90 minute, hands-on class designed for people new to the Internet but comfortable with the mouse and Windows. It is offered the second Tuesday morning and the fourth Tuesday evening September through May. The class focuses on the web browser and simple search techniques.

Email and MS Word Computer Classes starting April 15, 2008

Microsoft Word Basics is a single 90 minute, hands-on class introducing users to the basic functions of Word, a popular word processing program. It will be offered the third Tuesday morning, 10:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. in April and May 2008.

Email Basics is a single 90 minute, hands-on class about free web based email programs.  This is designed for new users who want to know how to set up and use an email account.  It will be offered the fourth Tuesday morning, 10:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. in April and May 2008.

Other Sources for Local Area Computer Classes

All classes are taught by staff or volunteers who are members of the
Idaho PC Users Group. The classes are popular and size is limited. Registration is strongly recommended.  Sign up by visiting or calling the Reference desk at 384-4076.
