Mousing tips:
- The mouse fits your hand with the cable pointing away
from you.
- A "click" is a light tap - usually on the left
mouse button.
- Double click - to open a program
- Single click - use this once you are in a
program.
- Can't click fast enough? Click once on an
icon to highlight it then press Enter to open the program.
Useful for arthritic hands.
- Left handed? Some left handed move the
mouse to the left side and switch the functions of the left
and right buttons.
- Slowing down your mouse clicks. You can
choose the speed at which you have to double click your
mouse buttons.

Windows Key + D:
Reveals desktop and or restores all minimized windows
Windows Key + M: Minimizes all windows – doesn’t

Menu Key: acts
like the “right-click” button on the mouse. Brings up menu
of options that is context sensitive to what is active on
your desktop.

Three Finger Salute or Soft Reboot

Ctrl + Alt + Delete - often called a
soft reboot
When the processor is rebooted by giving a software or
firmware command without turning off the power, it is called
a soft boot or soft reboot.

Don't Touch that Button!
With the Windows operating system, under normal operating
circumstances, you NEVER use the power button, located on the
front of your computer, to shut down your computer.
Shutdown is a function of the Windows operating
system, which makes sure all programs and connections are correctly
closed down before actually turning the computer off.
Follow the directions below to shutdown your
computer:

Click the Start button

Click the Turn Off button
