Computer classes at the main library

The Main Library (Downtown) offers free classes for adults September through May. 


Computer Keyboarding & Mousing is a 75 minute, hands-on class designed for people new to computers.  You will get an overview of common computer parts and their functions in a Windows environment. We will spend time using the mouse and keyboard.

Computer Basics is a 75 minute, designed for people who have taken Computer Basics 1 or have the skills covered in that class. This class will focus on the basic features of the Windows environment, including using the Start menu, desktop setup, Windows features, and saving files.

Internet Basics is a 75 minute, hands-on class designed for people new to the Internet but comfortable with using a mouse and keyboard in a Windows environment. The class focuses on Internet connection choices and web browser functions.

Internet Search Skills is a 75 minute, hands-on class for people who want to increase their understanding of search engines and improve their search skills.

Microsoft Word Basics is a single 75 minute, hands-on class introducing users to the basic functions of Word, a popular word processing program.
