Lab - Main Library
What is the Gates Lab?
The Lab, located on the first floor of the Main Library next to
Entertainment Express, was funded by the Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation to provide computer access to the general public. It can
be scheduled for training, free of charge, by local area groups.
If not otherwise scheduled, the lab is open to the
public during regular library hours.
The Library also uses the Lab to provide free basic
computer classes.
What's In the Lab?
- 10 Networked Gateway PCs
- 1 Networked Instructor PC
- 1 Networked HP Printer
- 1 LCD Projector
- Software: Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, and Microsoft
Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint).

If no one is available to take your call,
or you are sending an email,
please leave your name, number, organization, and time you would be
interested in scheduling the lab. Please note that the lab is only
available during
normal library hours.
Use of the room is available at no charge
and, in return, no admission may be charged to students or
participants. Groups using the lab must provide their own
instructor. Please read the
