Meeting Rooms at the Library
There are three meeting rooms at Boise Public Library's Main Library and two meeting spaces at each branch (Library! at Collister and Library! at Hillcrest). Reservations are required for all meeting room use, unless otherwise noted. Main LibraryThe Simplot Room - Main Library This is a first come, first serve meeting room located on the first floor of the Main Library, next to the Entertainment Express. Reservations for this room are not required and equipment is not provided. It holds a maximum of eight people. The William F. Hayes Memorial Auditorium - Main Library Located on the first floor of the Main Library, this self-contained meeting space covers approximately 1900 square feet and holds a maximum of 250 people. The Auditorium is equipped with a kitchenette as well as audiovisual equipment, including TV/VCR, overhead projector, slide projector, and microphone. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Please enter and exit through the 8th Street doors. Groups may reserve the Auditorium through the second floor Adult Services desk. There is a fee of $80.00 per use. Reservations canceled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $25.00. The Marion Bingham Room - Main Library This boardroom style meeting room is located on the third floor of the library. It holds a maximum of 18 people and is equipped with a large conference table, TV/VCR, slide projector, overhead projector, and built in marker board/screen. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Groups may reserve the Marion Bingham room through the Adult Services desk on second floor. There is a fee of $25 per use. Reservations cancelled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $7.50. The Gates Computer Lab - Main Library The lab, located on the first floor next to the Entertainment Express, was sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to provide computer access to library users. It can be scheduled for training by groups in the area free of charge. If not otherwise scheduled, the lab is open to the public during regular library hours. The room includes 10 student PCs, an instructor PC and a projector. Branch LibrariesBranch Library Multi-Purpose Meeting Rooms The Collister and Hillcrest branch libraries each include a multi-purpose meeting room seating 36-40 people. The multi-purpose room at the Library! at Cole & Ustick seats 91, or accommodates 180 people standing. Tables, chairs and AV equipment are available by request - call individual branches for details. The Cole & Ustick meeting room also offers a mobile laptop lab for computer training classes, and provides use of a small kitchen by request. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Rooms may be reserved through the individual libraries - see Locations & Hours for contact information. A fee of $50.00 per use is charged for branch multi-purpose rooms. Reservations cancelled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $15.00. Branch Library Conference Rooms The Collister and Hillcrest branch libraries each include a conference room seating 10 people. The Cole & Ustick conference room seats 12 people, and includes use of a small kitchen by request. Tables, chairs and AV equipment are available by request - call individual branches for details. There is no fee for using these rooms, but reservations are required. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user.
