Reserving a Meeting Space

To reserve a meeting space, groups must follow the guidelines laid out in the Boise Public Library Policy Manual, section 7.00, Use of the Meeting Rooms:

Fees are described in the Policy Manual, section 4:

Reservations are required for all meeting room use, unless otherwise noted. Please make your reservation at the branch where the meeting room is located.

Main Library

Gates Room, Main LibraryGates Room - Main Library

This versatile room is located on the first floor of the Main Library. It holds 11 people and can be reserved. The following is provided:

  • tables and chairs
  • 10 piece mobile laptop lab (available with a reservation)
  • WiFi is also available

The Marion Bingham Room - Main Library

This boardroom style meeting room is located on the third floor of the Main Library. It holds 18 people. This room is equipped with:Marion Bingham Room, Main Library

  • conference table with chairs
  • TV with DVD player
  • slide projector
  • overhead projector
  • marker board/screen
  • WiFi

Set-up, take-down, and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Groups may reserve the Marion Bingham room through the Reference desk on second floor. There is a fee of $25 per use. Reservations cancelled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $7.50.Simplot Room, Main Library

The Simplot Room - Main Library

This is a first come, first serve meeting room on the first floor of the Main Library. It holds up to 8 people.

  • WiFi

The William F. Hayes Memorial Auditorium - Main Library

This meeting space is at the southwest corner of the Main Library with an external entrance facing 8th street. It holds up to 250 people. You may request the following with your reservation:Hayes Auditorium, Main Library

  • tables and chairs
  • kitchenette
  • TV with DVD player
  • LCD Projector attached to PC with Internet
  • LCD Projector with VGA or HDMI port for your laptop
  • handheld microphone or Lavaliere microphone
  • Library WiFi is also available

Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Groups may reserve the Auditorium through the second floor Reference desk. There is a fee of $80.00 per use. Reservations canceled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $25.00.

Branch Library Community Rooms

A fee of $50.00 per use is charged for branch multi-purpose rooms. Reservations cancelled less than two working days before the scheduled meeting will be assessed a cancellation fee of $15.00. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Please contact individual libraries to make your reservation.

Sycamore Room - CollisterLemhi Room, Library! at Hillcrest

This room seats 36-40 people. You may request the following:

  • table and chairs
  • AV equipment
  • WiFi

Lemhi Room - Hillcrest

This room seats 36-40 people. You may request the following with your reservation:

  • tables and chairs
  • TV with DVD/VHS player
  • WiFi is also available

Sagebrush Room - Cole & Ustick
The Sagebrush Room seats 91, or accommodates 180 people standing. You may request the following with your reservation:

  • tables and chairs

  • LCD projector

  • TV with DVD/VHS player
  • portable projection screen
  • whiteboards
  • mobile laptop lab for computer training classes

  • use of a small kitchen

  • WiFi is also available

Branch Library Conference Rooms

There is no fee for using these rooms, but reservations are required. Tables, chairs and AV equipment are available by request. Set-up, take-down and clean-up are the responsibility of the room user. Please contact individual libraries to make your reservation.

Catalpa Room - Collister

Seats 10 people. You may request the following:

  • table and chairs
  • AV equipment
  • WiFi

Camas Room - Hillcrest

Seats 10 people. You may request use of the following at the time of your reservation:

  • tables and chairs
  • TV with DVD/VHS player
  • whiteboards
  • WiFi is also available

The Bitterbrush Room - Cole & Ustick

Seats 12 people. You may request use of the following at the time of your reservation:

  • tables and chairs

  • LCD projector

  • TV with DVD/VHS player
  • portable projection screen
  • whiteboards
  • mobile laptop lab for computer training classes

  • use of a small kitchen

  • WiFi is also available
