Catalog Troubleshooting Tips
Web access to the catalog is provided through your web browser. The following browsers have been tested successfully with the web based catalog: Internet Explorer 5 and above, Mozilla, Firefox, and Safari. Other browsers may work but have not been tested. If you encounter problems accessing the web based catalog, try one of the following troubleshooting tips: Disable your Web AcceleratorIf you have a web accelerator, try accessing the catalog after you've turned it off. Make sure to close all browser windows and reopening them after the accelerator is turned off. This is the most common problem associated with the web version of the catalog. Clear your Temporary Internet Files (or Cache)In Internet Explorer this can be found under Tools>Internet Options. Then click on the button "Delete Files". After emptying the temporary files, attempt to access the catalog again. Disable Your FirewallTemporarily turn off your PC's firewall to see if it is blocking the traffic from the catalog. Specifically check to see if port 8080 is being blocked. Try an Alternate BrowserIf none of the above solve the problem, attempt to access the catalog using an alternate browser. A free browser, Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org), is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Last Updated: 01/31/2008 |
