Need multiple copies of titles for your book club?  The Boise Public Library provides a service tailored to book clubs.  We've been saving books we receive as gifts, and we now have many suitable titles. 

Browse the Books Available

Browse a list by author or a list by titles online and see how many titles we have of a particular book. The list is updated weekly as more books arrive.

Extended Checkout Period

Checkout time is six weeks--two weeks longer than regular checkout. However, since another book club may have reserved the title for a subsequent date, the title may not be renewed at the end of the six weeks. Regular fines apply if the books are not returned on time.

Convenient Pick-up and Return

One book club member can pick up all copies of a title at the participating library of his or her choice. All of the books are checked out on the responsible individual's library card. (The card must be from a consortium library: Ada, Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Garden City, Meridian or Nampa.) Books may be returned to the most convenient consortium library location.

How to Reserve a Title for Your Book Club

1. Look at our list of titles:
   • online at Boise Public Library's website
   • or ask at the First Floor Information Desk at the downtown library

    

2. Fill out the request form  or e-mail bookclubs@cityofboise.org.

    

3. Pick up all copies at once at the checkout counter at the location you specified
   • Keep the books for six weeks
   • Return copies to your most convenient consortium library location
