Boise Public Library's online catalogUse the catalog to search for materials from school or home. You may place holds on books with this feature and look at the items you have checked out. Ask-a-librarianLet us answer your questions via e-mail. Need some books?If you have a subject or theme, the Main Library Youth Services staff can pull a small "collection" for you. We will hold the collection for 48 hours. If you are planning a class visit and need some books reserved on a specific topic, we can place them on a reserve booktruck for you. Please provide at least 2 business days advance notice. To arrange, call 384-4200. Class sets of booksThe Main Library has multiple copies of a number of titles for use in the classroom. Many of titles are former Young Reader's Choice titles. We are in the process of updating our class set collection. Please contact us by email or call 384-4200 for title availability. Accelerated Reader listsThe Library will make a copy of your school's Accelerated Reader list available to your students. Please ask your school librarian to provide us with an updated list of titles. Boise School District's lists, by school. BibliographiesWe can provide you with a bibliography on a particular subject or genre. We can also direct you to some print and on-line bibliographic sources. Reference sectionsLet us introduce you to our reference sections. The Main Library Youth Services area, located on the first floor, contains many titles related to education and children's literature. The Main Library Adult Services area on second floor contains numerous titles on a variety of reference themes. The branch libraries also house a very limited number of reference titles. Online subscription E-collections and databasesSearch for articles and information from a variety of evaluated sources. Users accessing subscription databases and e-collections outside the library must have a valid Boise Public Library card. Boise Public Library cards also allow you to borrow items at any of the Lynx Consortium Libraries.
