Renew Materials
Materials can be renewed in person, by phone, and online. Items are not eligible for renewal if there is a hold for another customer or if the item has reached maximum renewals. (See Loans, Limits and Overdue Items.) Customer accounts are blocked from renewing items if there are fines of $10.00 or more on the account, if the library card has been reported lost or stolen, or is expired or if there is information in the account that requires updating. If your account is blocked or your items are overdue, visit or call one of our locations during regular business hours and a staff member will assist you. Using the Public Access Catalogs – Web-basedTo renew materials, go to the My Account tab on the Online Catalog. Log-in using your library card number and PIN. From this screen you may renew items. Using the Automated Telephone Renewal SystemTreasure Valley Library card holders (Ada, Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Garden City, Meridian, Mountain Home, Nampa) may dial 384-4450 any time, day or night, to use the automated telephone renewal system. The system will provide you with an account summary, allow you to list titles on loan, list titles ready for pick up, list title you have requested, and renew items on loan. You will need a touch tone telephone, the library card number of the person who checked out the materials, that person's Personal Identification Number (PIN -- the last 4 digits of your home telephone number unless you have chosen an alternative PIN), and the item barcode numbers of materials to be renewed. Once the item(s) are renewed, the system will provide the new date due. If the title is not renewable, the system will inform you of this. Renewing Interlibrary LoansInterlibrary loans may be renewed if approved by the lending library. To request a renewal for an interlibrary loan, call 384-4078 before the designated due date.
