Branch Plans - Boise Public Library
Branch Plans

Plan Overview:  Four Full-Service Neighborhood Libraries girls at computer

In early 2007, the City Council directed the City to move forward with the first phases of a branch library plan.  The plan puts four full-service branch libraries in key areas throughout Boise.  Because of their phased-in timing and scaled-down size, they can be funded within the City's 6-year budget projection.

Although the branches are scaled down from those considered for the 2006 bond election, they still offer a full range of library services, including:

  • adult and children’s programs
  • community meeting space
  • computers and Internet access
  • books, movies, music, magazines & newspapers
  • online resources
  • information and reference services

Neighborhood Library Locations and Services

Best of All, They're Affordable!

Due to their phased-in timing and scaled-down size, the City is able to fund the four branch libraries within it's 6-year budget projection.
