Boise's Library Services compared to Peer
Cities
Boise's library service lags behind peer cities serving a similar population base of 150,000-250,000.
Among those cities, Boise is the only one without full-service branch libraries. (In fact, Boise is the only city of its size in the United States without full-service branches.)
We have the smallest main library and least library space per resident;
and, we have less than half the average number of items (books, movies, music, magazines and other library materials) per resident.
