Arts for Kids programs encourage children to explore and embrace art
in new contexts, inspiring creative minds and encouraging critical
thinking to help our children connect with the world and with each
other.

Swashbuckling Stage
Combat
Who hasn't dreamed of
being a daring adventurer, traveling the world in search of treasure and
thrills? During this class, students will learn what a swashbuckler was,
how to use basic staged combat techniques, and experience swordplay seen
in classic swashbuckler films. (Stage combat is a specialized technique
used in theatre, opera, ballet and film to create the illusion of
physical combat without causing harm to the performers.)
