Let's Talk About It - Boise Public Library
Let's Talk About It:  We Are What We Eat

Food is one of human beings’ favorite obsessions. Most people spend a great deal of time physically and mentally preoccupied with food: we organize and prepare meals, we daydream about what’s for lunch or dinner; we eat. Beyond simply an enjoyable, necessary human pastime, though, eating has important implications for how we think of ourselves, and how we relate to the larger culture.

What is "Let's Talk About It"?

Let's Talk About It is a book discussion series featuring a themed series of five programs, each featuring a book which participants have read prior to the program.  At each program, a guest speaker presents information on the book and author as it relates to the theme. Following the presentation, participants engage in discussion.

Registration & Participation

Participation is limited to 30 individuals. Books will be provided to participants on a loan basis as part of the program and are now available. Please contact Tobie Garrick at the Library! at Hillcrest (562-4996) or Melody Eisler at the Library! at Collister (562-4995) to sign up for the program and get your copies of the books.
