Greening Outdoor Recreation

Promoting Environmental
Awareness in Kids

Saturday, May 24, at 2:00 p.m.

Boise Public Library’s Hayes Auditorium
Main Library
715 South Capitol Blvd.

Families are invited to this hands-on, interactive library program in which children learn how to act as stewards of our open spaces while enjoying outdoor recreation.

Through games, activities and lessons presented by REI staff, kids will learn the principles of the REI PEAK program (Promoting Environmental Awareness in Kids), developed as the result of a unique partnership between REI and the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. The activities and games are geared toward kids 6-12, but the information is universal, so don’t hesitate to join us.

For more information, contact the Youth Services Division
at the Main Library at 384-4200.
