Join us for another community-wide celebration of reading and
literature! This year’s title is
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, by Mark Twain - a book the
entire family can enjoy.
We hope you’ll read (or re-read) this entertaining book, then
come together to share and explore ideas. Events and activities
will be offered throughout February in a variety of venues and
formats, including readings, lectures, interactive presentations, dramatic
and visual arts, discussions, film screenings, exhibits, and
family activities.
From the famous episodes of the whitewashed fence and the ordeal
in the cave to the trial of Injun Joe, "The Adventures of Tom
Sawyer" is redolent of life in the Mississippi River towns in
which Twain spent his own youth.
