Library! at Collister Special Programs & Events
Threadbenders Club Needleworkers of the world unite! If you like to crochet, knit, quilt, cross-stitch, embroider, or do any other kind of needlework, you are invited (guys too!) to a get-together at the Library! at Collister for a new club. All skill levels welcome! Bring your project and your mug. At our first meeting we can name our group and make plans for future programs, if we want programs. For example: working with color design, developing your own shapes, combining needlework types, materials swaps, favorite books, show-and-tell, etc. Of course, we can help each other out and just generally have fun. Thursday, January 15th at 7:00 p.m. Questions? Call Kathl at 562-4995.
Fit and Fall Proof Fitness Classes Presented by Central District Health Department Come join us at the Collister Library for a FREE Fit and Fall Proof program (FFP)! The program focuses on functional fitness, improving your ability to do everyday tasks. Muscle strength and flexibility play a primary role in balance and maintaining physical activity. Strengthening your muscles will make it easier to do the things you want to do—lift a grandchild for a hug, get out of a chair with ease, or climb stairs without puffing. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 a.m.–10:00 a.m. Questions? Call the library at 562-4995.
