Create a colorful summer @ your library!

Do you have fond memories of summer reading as a child?  Now you can read for fun and prizes as an adult. Read and enter to win as often as you like!  Prizes from local businesses awarded weekly!

Program Dates:  June 1 - July 31, 2009.

Kick off your Creative Summer @ the Library!  June 4, 2009,  6:30 to 8 PM at the Main Library, Hayes Auditorium.

Taking Better Family Pictures:  June 17, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Collister Branch.

Digital Photography, Tips and Tricks:  July 7, 2009 from 7 to 9 PM at the Hillcrest Branch.

Scrapbooking:  July 23, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 at the Main Library, Hayes Auditorium.

Entry forms are available at, and may be returned to, any Boise Public Library Location:

Or, submit your entry online with our Online Entry Form.

The Rules

  • Read two books and list them on the entry form to qualify for the Summer Reading prize drawing.
  • You may count books read between June 1st and July 31st.
  • The program is open to readers age 18 and older.
  • Participants must be Boise City residents with a public library card.
  • An audio book is considered one book.
  • A book you read to a pre-reader is considered one book.
  • The Maltese Falcon, the 2009 Big Read selection, counts as two books; list the title twice on your entry form.
  • Books do not need to be borrowed from Boise Public Library.
  • Enter as often as you want.
  • Boise Public Library staff are not eligible to participate.
