Local children can earn hockey tickets, a cap and skate in Qwest
Arena this winter, thanks to the Qwest Hat Trick Reading
Program, sponsored by the Idaho Steelheads and Qwest in partnership with
local public libraries. Children receive the rewards for scoring three
goals, known as a hat trick in hockey terminology.

Pick up a form at any Boise Public Library
location.
How It Works
Win Steelhead tickets and other prizes by reading with a family member,
by visiting a Boise Public Library site and
checking out a book, and by reading about the Steelheads and writing a short
essay or drawing a picture.
Prizes
Prizes are earned for each or any of the following goals, unless
otherwise noted. All prizes must be picked up at the library after
completion of a goal.
Each participant may earn only one set of prizes.
- Goal 1: visit the Boise Public Library and check out a book= 1
ticket good for a Steelheads game.
- Goal 2: 20 minutes of reading with a family member for 7 days,
initialed by a parent = 1 ticket good for a Steelheads game.
- Goal 3: read about the Steelheads at

write an essay or draw a picture and submit it to the Boise Public Library = hat
Please note that goals # 1 and #2 must be completed
before goal #3 in order to earn this prize.
Open Skate Date
All children are also invited to attend an open skate,
scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2010, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. at Qwest Arena. Children are
encouraged to bring their own skates. Limited free skates will be
available for those who do not have their own.

Garden City Public Library, Kuna Library District and Meridian Library District.
