Design Review Open Houses Scheduled For
Branches
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Neighborhood Libraries – Design Review Open House(Boise, Idaho – May 02, 2007) Boise Public Library is offering public review of the design concepts for two new neighborhood libraries planned to open this year. Two open houses are scheduled next week, one for each new library. Library staff, project staff and the architect will be on hand to answer questions. Boise Bench residents can view designs for the Hillcrest Neighborhood Library from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, in the Hillcrest Shopping Center. The open house will be held in part of the planned library space at 5250 W. Overland Road, north of the shopping center’s Honk’s 1 Dollar Store. Northwest Boise residents can view designs for the Collister Neighborhood Library from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, in the sanctuary of Collister United Methodist Church at 4444 West Taft. The library is expected to be sited in the Collister Shopping Center. Earlier this year, the Boise City Council directed the Library to proceed with lease negotiations for the future Hillcrest and Collister Neighborhood Libraries. The Library expects to take a final lease recommendation to the Council in late May. Designs for the new libraries can also be viewed on the library’s website, www.boisepubliclibrary.org.
