Foundation Fundraising Workshop

MeetingPUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT –

(Boise, ID – April 22, 2009) Help your nonprofit gain a better understanding of philanthropy through Foundation Fundraising: an Introductory Course. Training is provided by the nation’s leading authority on philanthropy, The Foundation Center, in partnership with Boise Public Library.

The workshop will be held in the Main Library’s Hayes Auditorium at 715 S. Capitol Blvd. in downtown Boise, on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration is required.

Please note that a course fee of $125 per person must be paid at registration; save $25 for each additional registration made at the same time.

The Foundation Fundraising course will help attendees:

  • understand the objectives of foundations and gain confidence in securing their support;
  • understand the philanthropic landscape and the world of foundations;
  • adopt the terminology used in foundation fundraising
  • prepare their organization to become a desirable partner to grantmakers; and,
  • understand the proposal process and what is required to write a successful grant.

The Main Library is located at 715 S. Capitol Blvd. in downtown Boise.
