Library Foundation Elects New Officers
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - (Boise, Idaho – 12/7/09) The Boise Public Library Foundation announced a new slate of officers, determined by an election at its annual meeting on November 10. Bev Harad was elected Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors; Tonya Westenskow was elected Vice-Chair; and Susan Grey was elected to continue as Secretary/Treasurer. All were elected to a one-year term. Boise Public Library Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation that benefits the Boise Public Library. The Foundation was formed in 1985 to attract substantial support from contributions, directly or indirectly, from persons within and outside the community. Foundation Board members work to encourage contributions from local corporations and individuals through gifts to the Library and by sponsoring various fund-raising events. Funds raised through the Foundation are used exclusively for the benefit of Boise Public Library and are not part of the City budget.
