Library to Survey Community about Library
Services
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 25, 2011
Boise Public Library announced today that it will be conducting a survey of library users and nonusers in Boise, starting September 7. The survey has been commissioned as part of the library’s strategic planning process, and will be used to help determine future library service offerings in the City of Boise. Library Director Kevin Booe said: “We’re seeking community input to ensure Boise’s library services will continue to evolve in a way that’s relevant and useful to the community, while making the very best use of taxpayer dollars. This is a great opportunity for Boise residents to have their say about libraries.” A combination of telephone and online techniques will be used to survey a randomly selected sample within the Boise City area of impact. The survey is being conducted by ORC International, the firm that conducted the City of Boise 2010 Citizen Survey. Funding for the survey was made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act grant administered by the Idaho Commission for Libraries. For more information about the survey, please call the library’s administrative offices at 384-4238. # # #
