Books for Book Clubs &Teachers
Borrow books for your classroom...
Boise Public Library is pleased to offer sets of books for teachers' use in the classroom. Sets include 10 - 30 copies and check out for four weeks. They must be picked up at our Main Library. You will need a library card from Boise Public Library, Ada Community Library or a public library in Caldwell, Eagle, Garden City, Meridian or Nampa. For set availability, please contact the Youth Service’s staff at 384-4200 or use our email form.
Or for your entire book club!
Our Books for Book Club collection includes hundreds of titles, primarily fiction, that check out as sets. Each set contains twelve copies of the title. Please contact the Main Library reference desk at 384-4076 or send us an email with your suggestions or any questions you may have.
Big changes coming
Books for Book Club titles will soon be available through our library catalog. You'll be able to use the catalog to browse the Books for Book Clubs collection, search for specific titles, check availability, and reserve sets. In the meantime, please contact us to make a request.
When the sets become available through the catalog, you’ll see a few other changes as well:
- new titles, including customer requests like The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand
- a longer check-out period (eight weeks), making it easier to return books as sets
- standardized sets of 12
- zippered bags big enough to hold an entire set
When everything's ready, we'll post easy instructions on how to find and reserve Book Club sets in the catalog. As always, we’re happy to assist you and answer your questions - just stop by the second-floor desk at the Main Library, send us an email, or call 384-4076. We also welcome your questions and comments about the upcoming changes.
