Download three songs per week - they're free, and yours to keep!
Now, with your Boise Public Library card and our new Freegal Music service, you can download up to three songs per week from the vast Sony music collection and other licensed labels for your personal use.* Choose from thousands of artists, tens of thousands of albums, and hundreds of thousands of songs spanning over a hundred genres.
Song tracks are downloaded directly from your browser as MP3 files. There are iOS and Android apps, or files can be saved to any computer or mobile device, including iPods. Short clips are available for sampling prior to selecting your music.
Thanks to Freegal’s arrangements with participating labels, there are no digital rights management (DRM) restrictions.* So, once you download the songs, they're yours to keep!
To get started, just click here and enter your Boise Public Library card number and PIN (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number).

*Note that other copyright laws apply. The participating music labels have authorized customers of libraries subscribing to Freegal to download copies of the music for personal use. However, sharing the music file with others (for instance, by giving them a CD, emailing the file or making it available online or via a file-sharing network) - would likely violate copyright law.
