CenturyLink Hat Trick Reading Program
December 1, 2012- February 22, 2013 - For kids ages 5-13
Local children can earn hockey tickets, a cap and skate in CenturyLink Arena this winter, thanks to the CenturyLink Hat Trick Reading Program, sponsored by the Idaho Steelheads and CenturyLink in partnership with local public libraries. Children receive the rewards for scoring three goals, known as a hat trick in hockey terminology.

How It Works
Win Steelhead tickets and other prizes by reading with a family member, by visiting a Boise Public Library site and checking out a book, and by reading about the Steelheads and writing a short essay or drawing a picture.
Prizes
Prizes are earned for each or any of the following goals, unless otherwise noted. All prizes must be picked up at the library after completion of a goal. Each participant may earn only one set of prizes. Goals must be completed in order.
- Goal 1: visit the Boise Public Library and check out a book. You'll receive 1 ticket good for a Steelheads game.
- Goal 2: 20 minutes of reading with a family member for 7 days, initialed by a parent, will give you 1 ticket good for a Steelheads game.
- Goal 3: read about the Steelheads at http://www.idahosteelheads.com/home.aspx, write an essay or draw a picture and submit it to any Boise Public Library location. You'll receive a hat.
Open Skate Date - Sunday, February 24, 2013
All children are also invited to attend an open skate, scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2013 at CenturyLink Arena. Please check back for open skate hours.
Children are encouraged to bring their own skates. Limited free skates will be available for those who do not have their own.
