Boise Public Library partners with organizations throughout the Treasure Valley to provide free programs and resources to community members needing additional support. 

JESSE TREE OUTREACH - NEW
4th Tuesdays, 4-6 p.m. - Main Library 
Jesse Tree works with people who are unable to pay rent to keep them in their housing. Kyle Young a Licensed Master Social Worker provides crisis counseling and helps connect people with their rental assistance program and other related  resources.

ALZHEIMER'S CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP
Wednesdays, 1-2 p.m. - Hillcrest
Conducted by trained facilitators from the Alzheimer's Association, this group is a safe place to develop a support system, exchange helpful information, talk through issues, share feelings and ways of coping, and keep up to date about local resources. View Schedule

DEPRESSION & BIPOLAR SUPPORT GROUP
Thursdays, 2-4 p.m. - Hillcrest
g for a safe and supportive place to talk with others? The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance offers a weekly support group at the Library! at Hillcrest. Everyone is welcome, and there is no need to pre-register. View Schedule

ENGLISH CONVERSATION HOUR
Tuesdays, 7-8 p.m. - Hillcrest
Volunteer law students and on-site supervising attorneys offer short-term legal advice and one-on-one assistance to those who cannot afford legal representation. Services are provided by the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association in partnership with Concordia University School of Law, and the University of Idaho. View Schedule

MEDICARE 101 WORKSHOPS & COUNSELING SESSIONS
3rd Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m. - Main Library
Tuesdays, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - HIllcrest
Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) volunteers offer help navigating Medicare benefits, provide information on how and when to enroll and answer questions. VIew Schedule

NONPROFIT OPEN HOUSE
3rd Thursdays, 4-6 p.m. - Main Library

 library resources for non-profits. Library staff will showcase the Foundation Center and Grantspace and connect people with additional resources to help their nonprofits reach their goals. View Schedule

VETERANS HOUSING OUTREACH
Wednesdays, 2-3:30 p.m. - Main Library
Bryan Bumgarner, with Healthcare for Homeless Veterans from the Boise VA Medical Center, helps connect Veterans with essential services including housing and medical care. VIew Schedule

VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE (VITA)
Annually, During Tax Season - Main Library 
Trained volunteers from Boise State University’s Accountancy Department provide free tax assistance to community members making $55,000 a year or less through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

OUTREACH
Boise Public Library Outreach Staff and Volunteers pickup and deliver library materials without charge to Boise residents who are physically unable to come to a library facility. In addition to individual residences, we serve over 30 residential care facilities throughout the city on a regular basis. Learn More
