Neighborhood Locations
Celebrating 10 Years of Service
To meet the needs of a growing community, Boise Public Library expanded service to neighborhoods across the city by opening the following branch libraries starting in early 2008:
February 2008 - Library! at Collister
March 2008 - Library! at Hillcrest
June 2009 - Library! at Cole & Ustick
May 2017 - Library! at Bown Crossing
As societal needs change, library programming and services have responded to meet those needs. In addition to providing access to books and literacy, the modern library extends its reach by offering internet access and emerging technologies.

Providing access to emerging technologies is central to the library's mission.

Creativity & Innovation
Over the past decade, Boise Public Library has added 3D Printing, Virtual Reality, Laser Engraving and Tech Help Sessions to expand digital literacy. We now offer information services, public meeting rooms, and a digital collection of over 100 databases that fuel local business, inform do-it-yourself projects, and inspire collaboration and creativity. Each location provides wireless internet and public computers and printers. Library customers also check out more than books! Cardholders can stream movies and music; download e-books, eAudio, and digital magazines; and even check-out robots!
