KIDS, LET'S DRAW COMICS!
5th Floor, Make Studio

Hey Kids! Phoebe and Her Unicorn creator Dana Simpson knows a lot about drawing comics…and wants to share what she knows with you. Limber up your drawing hand and drop in for a fun and casual workshop all about making comics! Kids, (and their accompanying adults) of any skill level are welcome.

1:30 - 2:30 PM

COMICS STORYTELLING 101
5th Floor, Make Studio
Ron Randall’s work has appeared in all the major comics publishers in the United States, including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, and IDW on properties as varied as FutureQuest, Spider-man, Supergirl, Predator, and Star Wars. His own science fiction series Trekker is his signature project and tells of the on-going adventures of 23rd century bounty hunter, Mercy St. Clair. Comics Storytelling 101 is an opportunity to learn from Randall’s years of experience as a creator and explore the basics of making comics so you can begin your own comics-creation journey

DRAWING DINOSAURS
5th Floor, Make Studio
Tadd Galusha is a Northwest based comic artist and story illustrator. He’s contributed to numerous titles including Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesGodzilla, and Bubba Ho-Tep, as well as continuing to work on his creator-owned title, The Backwoods. In this workshop he’ll show you how to draw the biggest beasts of them all – Dinosaurs! You might even be able to talk him into drawing a sewer-dwelling, pizza-eating, reptilian hero as well.
