Babies (under 2) and Early Readers (2-5)
Caregivers should complete one early literacy activity or read one picture or board book with their child each day. With young children, it is important to Read, Talk, Write, Sing, and Play every day! These five practices help them acquire language and get ready to read on their own. Early literacy activity ideas are available at all Library locations or online on Beanstack.
Youth (6-11), Teens (12-17), and Adults (18+)
Read for at least 20 minutes each day. Bonus activities are available at all Library locations and online on Beanstack.
How to Register and Participate
Registration opens on May 25 at all Library locations and online on Beanstack. We will have options to track your reading online on Beanstack or on paper reading logs.
Track Your Reading Online: Beanstack
Track your reading online at BoisePublicLibrary.Beanstack.org. Earn digital badges for completing bonus activities, write reviews, compare your progress with your friends, and log your daily reading to enter special prize drawings
Paper Reading Logs
Looking for a way to track your reading progress offline? Download and print one of our amazing tracking sheets – each of them designed by our talented Boise Public Library staff! You can also pick up a reading log at any Library location.
Summer Events and Activities
