With the health and safety of our community and our employees in mind, all Boise Public Library facilities, including the Main Library and each branch library, are closed to the public. Additionally, all Boise Public Library programming is cancelled until further notice.

At this time, Boise Public Library's external book returns have been locked.  Until Library locations reopen, please hold on to any materials you currently have checked out. We have extended due dates to June 1, and so have many other LYNX libraries in the Treasure Valley.

Updates from the City of Boise on COVID-19, including information on additional City of Boise facility closures, can be found on the City of Boise COVID-19 Information Page.

The Boise Public Library improves community members' quality of life by supporting their efforts to enhance knowledge, realize creative potential, and share ideas and stories.

We are committed to intellectual freedom, universal access, innovation, and providing a world class experience for all members of the community.
