MissionMain Library - Exterior
The Boise Public Library improves community members' quality of life by supporting their efforts to enhance knowledge, realize creative potential, and share ideas and stories.

Values

We are committed to intellectual freedom, universal access, innovation, and providing a world class experience for all members of the community.

Funding & Operations
Boise Public Library is a part of the City of Boise and is funded primarily through local property taxes. The Board of Trustees sets policy for operations, and the Friends of the Boise Public Library and the Boise Public Library Foundation provide additional financial support. Approximately 130 employees and dozens of volunteers work together to provide library services to the community.
