Director's Update – November 2022

Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who shared with us your thoughts and ideas for the future of the Library this summer. We are so grateful to all of you who took time to provide input during the listening phase of our strategic planning process. We heard from you in-person and online, at community events, in discussions and interviews, and through an online survey to which more than 2,300 of you responded.
We heard from you a real appreciation for the work we do every day and an affirmation of our value to the community. Respondents overwhelmingly believe the Library provides universal access for all, enhances the quality of life in our community, and supports early childhood literacy, education, and lifelong learning. We also heard ways you think we can improve and better meet your needs in areas such as our collections, availability, and locations.
You gave us so much to think about and so much to consider! We are currently analyzing all the feedback and data that we gathered so we can share with you what we heard. We look forward to working with you as we start planning for the next phase of our strategic planning process.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time at LibraryDirector@cityofboise.org. I’d love to hear what you are reading, watching, or listening to this fall.
Thank you for your support!
