The Federal Depository Library Program partners with libraries nationwide to provide the American public with free and equal access to government information. Boise Public Library began participating in the program in 1929.

The library depository collection includes both physical and digital materials on a variety of subjects including laws and regulations, studies and documents on other topics. The library provides technology needed to access these materials to help ensure these materials are available to everyone.
