Library Services During Covid-19

Summer Hours

Starting June 1, all Boise Public Library locations will be open for in-person browsing, curbside pickup, and computer access during the following hours:

Monday to Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

These summer hours will be in effect through August 15. In accordance with current CDC guidelines, masks must be worn in all City of Boise facilities, including all Boise Public Library locations. Everyone over age two must wear a mask inside the Library regardless of vaccination status. Computer access is limited to two hours per person each day.

A limited number of meeting rooms and study rooms are available by reservation. To learn more about reserving a meeting or study room, click here.

Tree City Books and Donations

Tree City Books is now open! The bookstore is located in the Main Library and operated by the Friends of the Boise Public Library. Their current hours are:

  •  Monday to Friday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Donations are being accepted on a limited basis. For the latest information on donating books and media to the Friends of the Boise Public Library, please call 208-972-8247 or email fobplmembers@gmail.com.
