Library Services During Covid-19

Summer Hours

Starting June 1, all Boise Public Library locations will be open for in-person browsing, curbside pickup, and computer access during the following hours:

Monday to Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

These summer hours will be in effect through August 15. To protect our youngest residents, we encourage you to wear a mask and to maintain a 6-foot distance between you and others during your visit. Computer access is limited to one hour per day.

Services Not Available

  • Tree City Books in the Main Library is closed until further notice.
  • Donations are not accepted at this time.
  • Meeting rooms and study rooms are not available as walk-in or by reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Library still putting returned items in quarantine?
Starting June 1, we are no longer putting any returned items in quarantine due to updated guidance from the CDC about the low risk of COVID-19 surface transmission.

Can I book a meeting room for my group?
We are not currently accepting any reservations for meeting rooms.

How long will it take for my hold to be ready for curbside pickup?
The time it takes for your hold to be ready can vary from item to item. We appreciate your patience as we work through a large quantity curbside hold requests to get materials out to our community!
