Library Services During Covid-19

Current Services

Due to increasing community spread of COVID-19, we have made changes to services and operations with staff and community health and safety as our top priority. Starting Monday, November 23, the following changes have gone into effect:

Browsing hours are no longer available as all locations are closed to the public. Curbside hold pickup is the only way to access physical items. Curbside hold pickup is available at all locations during the following hours:

  • Monday - Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Computer lab hours are only available at the Library! at Cole & Ustick, the Library! at Hillcrest, and the Main Library. Computer access is walk-in only, and the hours are the same at those three locations:

  • Monday - Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Our top priority is keeping our staff and community members healthy and safe during this ongoing public health crisis, and we appreciate your patience as we've modified services with a public health focus as our main goal. We anticipate that these changes will remain in effect through early 2021.

Other Services Not Available

  • Tree City Books in the Main Library is closed until further notice.
  • Donations are not accepted at this time.
  • No physical magazines or newspapers are available.
  • Meeting rooms and study rooms are not available as walk-in or by reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions

I returned my book in the book drop a few days ago, but now I got an overdue notice. Why?
We are currently putting all materials into a 5+ day quarantine when they are returned to the Library. Thus, you will notice a delay in items being checked back in to the system once returned. However, this should not impact your ability to place new holds.

Can I book a meeting room for my group?
We are not currently accepting any reservations for meeting rooms.

How long will it take for my hold to be ready for curbside pickup?
The time it takes for your hold to be ready can vary from item to item. We appreciate your patience as we work through a large quantity curbside hold requests to get materials out to our community!
