Curbside Hold Pickup Service

Curbside Hold Pickup: Available at All Five Locations

How to take advantage of the Library curbside hold pickup:

  1. Place your hold online. You will receive a notification once your materials are available for pickup, and notification times will vary depending on availability. Please wait to receive the notification before heading to the Library.
  2. Drive up or walk up. If you are in a car, park in the designated spots near the curb of each library. If you are on foot, there are waiting spots marked at each library.
  3. Check in on your Ida app. The phone numbers and QR code are available on signage outside of the library. Please have your library card ready when you call. A staff member in a mask will bring your materials directly to your car or waiting spot.

Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sundays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Main Library Only)

This service is currently available at all Boise Public Library branches. Please call or text the appropriate phone number listed on the sign when you arrive.

How long will it take for my hold to be ready for curbside pickup?
The time it takes for your hold to be ready can vary from item to item. We appreciate your patience as we work through a large quantity of curbside hold requests to get materials out to our community!

Can I walk up for curbside service instead of driving?
Yes, we have designated waiting spots at each library location.
