Home-based Services

What is Home-based Services?
Our Home-based Services team makes regular deliveries to users who are unable to visit the Library because of obstacles to access such as age, long-term illness, or disability. We serve residential communities, public housing, and individuals and their caregivers.
How do I sign up?
Complete the application below to sign up online or download the paper application here. We’re also happy to mail you a paper application or bring one directly to you if you live in a residential community we currently visit.
If you have questions about signing up or about your eligibility, feel free to call us at 208-972-8213 (TDD/TTY 1-800-377-3529) for assistance.
Once you are signed up, our Home-based Services team will give you a call to discuss your reading, listening and viewing preferences to help us select items tailored to you.
What do we provide?
Individuals: We will deliver your holds directly to you or select items based on your preferences.
Caregivers: We can locate and provide information about illnesses, disabilities, organizations, and support groups.
Pop-up libraries: We serve over 30 residential communities with a pop-up library experience, making it possible for residents to browse regular and large-print books in the comfort of their community. Individual DVDs and books on CD are also available upon request.
